Empowerment
The word "man" is present in the word "woman”. A woman has the same strength, capability, and talents and this indicates her ability to rule the world. But the world called a woman a weaker section of society. Both developed and underdeveloped nations suffer the same thing. Women make up most of the population in most nations. Every one of these nations has its own way of life. We need to consider the challenges a woman is experiencing. The entire world should unite in support of equality for them. The term "equality" means the state of being equal, especially in status and opportunities. Where it is needed to be counted. Whenever a baby is born in this world, everyone has equal rights and they are a part of this universe. Then who caused the disparity between the genders? Is it the parents or the society they belong to? Every day isn’t bright for women; they play different roles and sacrifice their lives for others.
In India, we have a history of killing female
children. Female infanticide happened due to poverty, the dowry system, births
to unmarried women, deformed infants, famine, lack of support services, and
maternal illnesses such as postpartum depression. This has happened for 21
centuries too. Gender disparities begin from the home. When a girl is born,
society calls it a responsibility, and if it is a boy, they call it a blessing.
The parents arranged more opportunities for their male children, who were born
and brought up with freedom. From the stage of infancy onward, boys get
priority over girls. The family thought the life lessons of a boy and a girl
differently. Society defines the roles of women and men, the things they do and
don't do. Everything is well framed and if anyone breaks the system, they are
called anti-social.
However, some changes are happening because some may
attempt to change and understand concepts better than the older generation.
Every nation is emphasizing woman empowerment right now because of how crucial
their position is to a nation's economic structure. For that, they introduced
different schemes for raising the status of women.
Women's empowerment is becoming ever more popular in
India. The fact that it focuses on empowering women has won the admiration of
every countryman. Women used to be at the mercy of males, but that is no longer
the case, and they are now just as powerful as men. They reach at every
field, women achieve their full potential. Women are successful in many areas,
yet they frequently encounter huge challenges. Most people seem to misinterpret
and have varying viewpoints about equality. In addition to this, many
outstanding women have encouraged the rise of many other women in society.
Examples were Droupadi Murmu,PV Sindhu, Harnaaz Sandhu,
Sucheta Kriplani, Kiran Bedi, Mary Kom etc.
The government also disclosed more funds
to support women's empowerment initiatives including Beti Bachao Bati Padhao,
the Women Helpline Program, Mahila Shakti Kendras (MSK), Nari Shakti Puruskar,
and many others. Increasing numbers of women are working in a variety of
fields. Due of this, there are no longer any differences between men and women.
If this trend continues for a few more decades, our country will soon join the
developed nations.
