An Ultimate Change of an Era in Education Sector

Covid- 19, a virus which took the whole world into a single screen.

It's true that, this pendemic has utterly changed the education system. I believe that the integration of information technology in education will further enhance and the online learning will eventually become an integral element of school and college education.

While few believe that the unplanned move to online learning with no or little knowledge will cause a poor user experience that is unconducive to sustained growth, on the other hand, others believe that a new hybrid model of education will emerge with significant benefits.

But the fact is that, there has been successful transitions amongst many universities who offers online courses worldwide.

It has changed the way of teaching and learning. Its evident that both traditional offline learning and E- Learning can go hand by hand.

Today digital learning has emerged as a necessary tool for the students worldwide.

Apart from to learn academics online, it also extends to learn extra curricular activities as well.

It helps the students to reach out to a more extensive network of students.

In addition, every lectures can be recorded, archived and shared for future references, which allows students to access the learning material at a time of their comfort and at least cost. Thus, it helps to create a paperless learning environment.

Those who have any proper access to technology is evident that E- Learning can be more effective.

With a vision to reshape the education system in India, the Ministry of Education has released a new education policy to transfer education standards by the end of 2040, in which they have recommended the following initiatives.

* Pilot studies for a digital education.

* Tools and methods like DIKSHA will be extended for teachers to provide access friendly interface.

* Digital infrastructure will be designed on technology based solutions, which do not become outdated.

* Teacher training will be provided to improve student teachers engagement through various resources.

* Virtual labs are asked to create where experiment based learning can be improvised.

* It will be useful for students of rural areas to get pre-recorded classes in their regional languages.

* Online assessment and examination will be encouraged to examine the performance of the students as per the updated standard of digital education.

* Moreover fun based learning tools like a gamification of Indian art and culture will be created, so that everyone can easily understand.

* A secured backup facility will also be provided for dissemination of E- content.

* Different modes of blended learning will be analysed and the one which the most appropriate will be replacing the traditional mode of learning.

* Dedicated unit for digital education will be created in order to look after the digital learning needs of both schools and colleges. This will be created by MHRD.

* As digital education reaching out to the rural population of country we could see an enhancement in online courses on students in future.
