Mustafa PC is a School dropout, who went on to pursue
Computer Science from NIT Calicut and he did his MBA from IIM Bangalore. His father worked as a daily wage laborer. The story of ID fresh
started from the idea of Batter, he started his business as a trial base, which
was in Indira Nagar Banglore. His cousins were running a store in Indira Nagar,
and they were supplied the usual batter for Idly & Vada in an ordinary
plastic pouch, but they struggled because of some quality issues, especially, since
it was closed by a rubber band at the top and also cockroach issues. They were trying to fix these issues, and they
fixed the issue, and that was the birth of ID fresh in 2015.
iD started with RS 50,0000
investment with a small kitchen, like an ordinary set-up (one Mixer & a
grinder, and a second-hand scooter). And they started to sell to shops, the
number was just 20. ID market was grown and built confidence. In 2018 sell the
batter 50,000 packets per day.
ID is like reinventing the traditional business model
and apply into technology-based modern business practices, selling fresh
without any preservatives is the challenging one. Until 2011, ID was a single
city & single product company with 411 crores in revenue-making business, Currently,
iD Fresh has four manufacturing facilities in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and
Dubai, and iD has the plan to expand in Singapore and the UK also. And, iD
Fresh Food also announced ESOPs
Worth INR 46 Cr.
iD Vada Batter is the result of their hard work. iD
has its own space in marketing and value-added advertisement.
