Equity in the context of gender equality implies identifying and addressing the unique problems and hurdles that women encounter, as well as providing tailored support and resources to assist women in overcoming these obstacles and reaching their full potential.

Adopting equity as a core value entails committing to building a more equitable and inclusive society in which all persons have equal access to the resources and opportunities they require to prosper. Recognizing and confronting the ways in which gender discrimination and bias affect women's lives, as well as trying to promote more equal policies and practices in all sectors of life, is what it entails.
