Movie Review : Neru

Jithu Joseph has done it once again after Drishyam and Drishyam 2. I haven’t seen Memories yet, but would like to see it soon. Mohanlal is a versatile actor and he just proves it fighting a case for a blind girl. Anaswara Rajan gives stunning natural performance that stands out in this edge of the seat courtroom drama thriller that doesn't have a single dull moment. Script and screen play are important factors in Jeethu Joseph movie and it works wonderfully well in this movie too. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Best opponent duo in form of Sidhique and his attractive daughter Priyamani work well. May not be true antogonists, but characters with bit of grey shade. The twists and turns are done well. Especially, the last one was perfect! If I had written the story then I would have kept the blind girl was a sculpturist as suspense and unveiled the culprit's sculpture in the end. Maybe, reveal her father as a sculpturist at beginning. Anyways, the movie was done well. The BGM did help to elevate some of the crucial scenes in the movie. Technically the movie was well done. Santhi who plays Mohanlal's support system in the movie is also the script writer. It is nice to see Mohanlal in form and the way Priyamani concludes "Its nice to have you back." Yes, he is back! Like Drishyum the climax of this movie will leave the audience with a lasting impact. Neru is a must watch courtroom drama, so I highly recommend it. My rating is 7 /10.
