The United States stands out as the largest recipient of Indian student migrants, with around ninety percent of student movement from India concentrated in five countries, reflecting the strong appeal of foreign universities among Indian students seeking quality education.

The increasing trend of Indian students opting to study abroad is evident in the rising numbers, with over five lakh students venturing overseas to pursue their educational aspirations despite the escalating costs and uncertainties in the domestic job market.This surge in student migration raises questions about the efficacy and adequacy of India's education system, prompting a critical examination of whether it is failing to meet the evolving needs and aspirations of students.The migration of Indian students for quality education abroad has had a notable impact on Indian universities.
