Women Empowerment through Online Platform
Women entrepreneurship has been largely stranded both in society in general and in social science. Women were treated as subordinates in our Indian culture in the past, and we know that they were kept and moved according to the decisions made by our family's male members. Because today's world is dynamic rather than static, an increasing number of women are electing to start their own businesses in a range of industries for a variety of reasons. They must gain self-sufficiency and be adaptable in any work setting.
Platforms for women's entrepreneurship and the establishment of new businesses are more advanced than in the past. Online platforms provide these women entrepreneurs with a fresh means to expand their chances. and creative woman who was capable of achieving self-economic independence and creating employment opportunities for others by initiating their particular field of business and encouraging others to step forward.
Through the use of social media platforms and the internet, social media platforms promote the creation of a new digital entrepreneurial revolution by
transforming the female society from a technologically challenged to a technologically savvy one, changing their mindset from a job-seeking culture to a job-creating culture.
For generations, women have played a critical role in establishing a culture in which they can prosper. Women, being an integral element of society, make up and contribute to the majority of it. When compared to the global internet penetration rate of 50%, just 35% of the Indian population uses the internet (Hoot suite of at 2017). Online places provide opportunities for people to learn, educate, seek support, and share their thoughts and opinions. The idea for creating a women entrepreneurship platform (WEP) to promote and support established as well as aspiring women entrepreneurs in India came at the 8th Annual Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) 2017 in Hyderabad, which was co-hosted by NITI Aayog and the US government. On March 8, 2018, the platform was officially launched. Women's entrepreneurship has been an essential weapon for women's empowerment in recent years. Empowerment leads to self-fulfillment, and women become more conscious of their goals, their place in society, their status, and their rights. Women's roles as business owners are gradually expanding, and empowering women via entrepreneurship has become an important aspect of India's development initiatives. Women entrepreneurs also improve the living standards of their families, which aids in the country's development. Empowerment through online platforms become a trend today. And we can go for the trend.
