Micro-Small and Medium Sized Enterprises contribute for Sustainable development by 2030 agenda. The Government of India has introduced MSME or Micro,Small and medium enterprises for primary engaging in the production, manufacturing, processing or preservation of goods and commodities. MSME aims to reduce levels of poverty through job creation, decent jobs and entrepreneurship for women, youth and groups in vulnerable situations. 

In 2022, the project named 'Strengthening National Capacities for Enhancing MSME Resilience and Building Forward Better to Accelerate the Implementation of the 2030 agenda in developing countries participating in the Belt and Road initiative was launched. This project is funded by United Nation Peace and Development Fund. The main objective of the project is to design and deliver effective policy measures to improve the capacity of MSME entrepreneurs, especially women and youth MSME entrepreneurs, in assessing the financial resources, capturing high value market opportunities and adopting innovative techniques. MSME also helps in industrialisation of rural and backward areas, there by, minimising regional imbalances and ensuring equitable distribution of national income.

Finance minister Nirmala Sitaraman inteoduces a financial stimulus package to make India Get- Set- Go. From announcing loans for business including micro, small and medium enterprises to extending the date of filing ITR return, here's what the Finance Minister has offered to kick start the Indian economy.

As per ZED certificate scheme, MSME get financial support for Make in India scheme to inculcate Zero Defect and Zero Effect practices in manufacturing. As per this scheme the Government of India provides up to 80% subsidy to MSME s. MSME contribute more than 29% of the GDP and responsible for 50% of countries total export.
