Mergers and Acquisition during 2022

 

During the last year India witnessed giant acquisitions and mergers, which includes in various industries, cement, aviation, banking etc,. After 2018, It Breaks the record value of merger and acquisition deals, in 2021 it was 107 billion US dollar, but in 2022 increased to 42 percentage (total value 152 billion US dollar in 2022).

Some of the international deals are mentioned in below:-




Twitter by Ellen Musk:- Twitter is one of the micro level blogging social media platform in the world. The deal was 44 billion US dollar,  the acquisition was done after the long debates. The debates and discussions were in the news from the beginning of the Year.

 

Air India & Tata:- Air India, was a nationalised aviation company in India, but in January 27 2022, Tata Group takes over the 100% share of Air India via Talace Private Limited (a fully owned subsidiary of Tata sons Limited). Air India is going to merge with vistara (vistara is a joint venture of Tata sons Limited & Singapore Airlines). It is one of the biggest merger and acquisition in the aviation industry.

Zomato takeover of Blinkitt :- Zomato is Indian based food delivery company acquired the company Blinkitt by 4447 crores rupees.



Adani and Ambuja Cement:- Gautam Adani is 3rd richest person in the world. After the NDTV takes over, Mr Gowtham Adani step into cement industry also. By 10.5 US billion dollar, he acquired major share of the Ambuja Cements which include  ACC also, the subsidiary of Ambuja Cement. So he will be the second largest producer in the cement industry after UltraTech.

 

HDFC bank and HDFC limited:- the deal was for 40 billion US dollar, it was one of the biggest to deal. The service of both entity will continue separately.

The year 2022 recorded biggest deals of mergers and acquisition in the corporate world.

ഇനി എത്ര ദൂരം

 ഞങ്ങൾ കൂട്ടുകുടുംബം ആയിട്ടാണ്  ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നത്. ഇടക്കെപ്പോഴോ ചിലർ ഇറങ്ങിപ്പോയിരുന്നു. പോയവരാരും പിന്നീട് തിരിച്ചുവന്നില്ല. എല്ലാവരുടെയും മുഖത്ത് ഒരുപോലെ സന്തോഷവും സങ്കടവും കാണാമായിരുന്നു. എല്ലാവരെയും കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോകാൻ ആരൊക്കെയോ വരുമായിരുന്നു. ഞാൻ കേട്ട മുത്തശ്ശിക്കഥകൾ സത്യമായി പുലർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു. ഒരിക്കൽ ഞാനും ഇറങ്ങേണ്ടി വരും എന്ന് എന്നെ കൂട്ടാനും ആളു വരും എന്ന്. കുറച്ചു നേരത്തേക്കെങ്കിലും  എന്നെ പൊന്നുപോലെ നോക്കും എന്ന്. എങ്കിലും എനിക്ക് ആശങ്കയില്ലാതില്ല ! പോയവർ ആരും ഇതുവരെ തിരിച്ചു വന്നില്ല. പിന്നീട് ഉറക്കമില്ലാ രാത്രികൾ ആയി  ഉറക്കത്തിൽ എങ്ങാനും പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടു പോയാലോ... നിലാവുള്ള ഒരു രാത്രിയിൽ ഒരു കാൽപെരുമാറ്റം ആരൊക്കെയോ എന്നെ തിരയുന്നു. തലമുതിർന്ന ആരോ ചൊല്ലി:  "ഇന്ന് നിന്നെ കൂട്ടാൻ ആളു വരും ". ഞാൻ ഇല്ലെന്ന് ഉറക്കെ നിലവിളി ചെങ്കിലും ആരും ചെവിക്കൊണ്ടില്ല. അവസാനം....  സുഗന്ധപൂരിതമായ കൈകളിൽ ഞാൻ എത്തപ്പെട്ടു. അയാളുടെ തലോടൽ ഞാൻ അനുഭവിച്ചു. പലതും ചോദിക്കാൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നെങ്കിലും  ഒന്നിനും സാധിച്ചില്ല. എങ്കിലും കൂടെ പോയി. കാലം കടന്നു പോയി അയാൾ ഉറക്കത്തിലേ...
