The New State
In the alleys of power, with faltering moves,
Sovereign stumble in a grand trance.
Promises eloquent like a hollow facade,
In the satiated slumber, mumbling impalpable lies.
The caravan of the state, lost in the desert wasteland,
Led by the skippers on their knees.
In the monarchy of chaos, the milords wear crowns,
Flashing the unwavering frowns.
Dramatic discussions drop the hotdog, like jugglers in the circus,
But action? Alas, that’s a rare affair.
